How to connect to the internet from an iLearn laptop at home

26092007_33514_0.jpg1.  Direct ethernet connection to cable/DSL modem
The simplest way to connect your iLearn laptop to the internet at home is by plugging it directly in to your cable/DSL router. All iLearn laptops have an ethernet port that looks similar to the picture on the right.
Just plug the ethernet cable from your modem into the laptop, start up your laptop and you should get a connection. The downside to this method is that only one computer can be connected to the internet at a time.
This upside is this connection is typically faster than wireless.

The next simplest way to connect your iLearn laptop to the internet at home is by plugging it in to your ethernet router, if you have one. Both regular and wireless ethernet routers will have additional ports allowing you to share your internet connection among several computers.
Simply connect your iLearn laptop directly to a free port on the router using an ethernet cable.
This connection is typically faster than wireless, and it allows several computers to share the internet connection.

Wireless Router Network3. Wireless connection
Finally, iLearn laptops have a built-in wireless card. If you have a wireless router at home, you can connect your laptop to the internet wirelessly. For detailed instructions on how to set up a wireless router, click here.

This will allow both hard-wired and wireless computers to share the internet connection.

NOTE: If you are using a T60 laptop, make sure the wireless button is "on".
